• Welcome

I am a UKCP-registered psychotherapist with several years of experience.

I offer one-to-one long or short term therapy for adults (18+).

My therapy room is in Haggerston/Dalston, Hackney, East London, or if you prefer we can work online.

  • How I work

My practice is grounded in the Person-Centred approach. At its heart is the belief that, deep down, you already hold an inner wisdom about what you need and what matters most to you. My role is to support and empower you to listen to your own inner world, - including thoughts, emotions and your bodily felt-sense - so that clarity can begin to emerge.

For many of us, access to this inner knowing can feel blocked. Over time, we may have absorbed judgements, expectations or messages from others that leave us feeling conflicted, unsure or disconnected from ourselves. As well as exploring thoughts and emotions, we can work with the body's felt sense, which can sometimes help us connect with things that are not easily known intellectually or emotionally. Therapy can offer a space to explore and work through these internal tensions in a way that works best for you.

I have experience of working sensitively with numerous issues including, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, emotional neglect, grief, experiences of bodily pain and discomfort and more. But we can explore any issue as each one is unique to you and your personal experience.

My aim is to create an accepting, non-judgmental, understanding environment that gives you the space to work through any issues safely, confidentially, and at your own pace. Working together, we can untangle your blocks, draw closer to your inner knowing, and move toward becoming the person you want to be.

  • about me

Originally from New York, I have been living in London since 1989. I spent 20 years as a BBC film editor, working on a range of dramas and documentary programmes. In 2009, I decided to move on and pursue my long-held interest in well-being. This led me to a period of study, during which I earned a BSc in Psychology, then a postgraduate diploma and an MSc in Person-Centred Psychotherapy, and, most recently, qualified as a Focusing-Oriented Therapist. I have also earned yoga teaching qualifications along the way and continue to teach, which I find gives me a well-rounded experience of physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. I enjoy living in Hackney with my family.
